Celebrated 550th Birth Anniversary of Shri. Guru Nanak DevJi

            550^thBirth Anniversary of Shri. Guru Nanak DevJi was celebrated by the Department of Music, Panjab University, Chandigarh with presentation of Kirtan by the students of the department and Dr.Alankar Singh, Department of Music, Punjabi University, Patiala and lecture-cum-demonstration by Prof. Nivedita Singh, Department of Music, Punjabi University, Patiala.

Prof. Karamjit Singh, Registrar, in his address said that the message of Shri Guru Nanak DevJi is to remove ego from your life and focus on work. While quoting various references from Shri Guru Granth Sahib, he talked about tolerance, inequality, corruption, women exploitation and universal brotherhood.

 Prof. ShankarjiJha, Dean University Instructionsgraced the occasion.
