One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-49 Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place near Ajanta Enclave Society, Chandigarh on 07.09.2019. Later he was released on bail.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Sector 56, Chandigarh while she was illegally possessing 22 quarters of country liquor near sports complex, Sector 56, Chandigarh on 07.09.2019. A case FIR No. 300, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A case FIR No. 241, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Manimajra, Chandigarh who reported that one unknown person on motor cycle snatched away complainant’s purse containing DL, RC, Adhar Card, ATM card and cash Rs. 20,000/- near Shiv Mandir, Chandigarh Club, Sector 1, Chandigarh on 04.09.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 243, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Deepak R/o # 1276, Village-Burail, Chandigarh who reported that three unknown person on motor cycle snatched away complainant’s mobile phone near main gate, CT Emporium, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 31.07.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Criminal breach of trust by public servant

A case FIR No. 242, U/S 409 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Dr. N. S Bharadwaj, Deputy Director, Ayush (Ayurveda), first floor, Sec-24B, Chandigarh against Surinder Kumar, then the PA to Joint Secretary Finance, Sector 9, Chandigarh regarding misplacing of vigilance enquiry file. A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that unknown caller of mobile number is making vulgar and obscene phone calls at her office landline number and harassing office co-staff since last two months. Burglary

Dr. Raj Kamal Nimesh R/o Flat No. 5, Block No. 141, ITBP Complex, Sector-32/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away gold jewelry, camera, wrist watch, handy cam and cash Rs. 15,000/- from complainant’s house between 02.09.2019 to 07.09.2019. A case FIR No. 225, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Anurag Wasan R/o SCO No. 60, first floor, Sec-40C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away six mobile phones, one Saurosky pen, one leather purse of Snefaur from his office i.e. Dream Overseas Consultant, SCO No. 60, first floor, Sec-40C, Chandigarh on the night intervening 06/07.09.2019. A case FIR No. 299, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
