Three arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Shibhu Shankar R/o # 1475, Churiya Wala Mohalla, Manimajra, Chandigarh from Railway colony to Kalagram Road, Chandigarh and recovered 2.10 kg ganja from his possession on 02.08.2019. A case FIR No. 140 U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Shiva Thakur R/o # 1194, village- Burail, Chandigarh from near Sector- 45, C/D Turn, Chandigarh and recovered 30 injections of drugs from his possession on 02.08.2019. A case FIR No. 198 U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Sahil R/o # 2167, Sector- 25, Chandigarh from near Sector- 25/38 light point, Chandigarh and recovered 08 gram heroin from his possession on 02.08.2019. A case FIR No. 114 U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Harjinder Singh R/o VPO- Khandola Tapprian, Tehsil- Chamkaur Shib, Distt.- Ropar, Punjab (working as manager as Gurudwara Sahib, Sector- 11, Chandigarh reported that 02 unknown persons stolen away cash Rs. 25000/30000/- from cash box (donation box) of Gurudwara Sahib, Sector- 11, Chandigarh during night intervening 01/02.08.2019. A case FIR No. 150, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

Hari Chand R/o # 353/A, Nayi Colony, village- Dhanas, Chandigarh alleged that Mukki, Jamidar, Akhilesh and Gajinder beaten and threatened complainant at Grain Market, Sector- 26, Chandigarh on 01.08.2019. Complainant got injured and was admitted to GH-16, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 170, U/S 323, 341, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later on alleged person namely Mukesh @ Jamidar R/o Farm No. 10, village- Kishangarh, Chandigarh, Mukki @ Mukesh R/o # 1580/B, small flats, village- Dhanas, Chandigarh and Akhilesh R/o # 1580/B, Small Flats, village- Dhanas, Chandigarh have been arrested in this case, Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Sector-26, Chandigarh alleged that her husband and others resident of Sector- 26, Chandigarh harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 89, U/S 323, 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Maloya Colony, Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Naya Gaon, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 90, U/S 323, 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector- 41, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & Others resident of Distt.- Mohali, Punjab harassed complainant to bring dowry. A case FIR No. 91 U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Action against obstructing public way

A case FIR No. 242 U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against Shammi R/o varanda near Samrat Hotel, Sector- 22, Chandigarh who was arrested while he was creating inconvenience to the public with auto No. PB-65M-3248 near Kiran Cinema, Sector- 22, Chandigarh on 02.08.2019. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 243 U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against Dawa Deen R/o # 223/C, Phase-7, Indst. Area, Udham Singh Colony, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab who was arrested while he was creating inconvenience to the public with auto No. PB-65AK-1949 near Kiran Cinema, Sector- 22, Chandigarh on 02.08.2019. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

          A case FIR No. 151, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Veena R/o # 1887, Safeda Colony, Naya Gaon, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab against unknown driver of car No. HR-51AC-6740 hit to complainant (pedestrian) near Ashoka Enterprise road village- Naya Gaon, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab on 10.07.2019. Complainant got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 170, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-I.T. Park, Chandigarh on the complaint of Harsh Kumar R/o # 303, Village- Daria, Chandigarh against driver of bus No. PB-11DY-3127 namely Nirmal Singh R/o village- Abheypur, Tehsil- Kharar, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab who hit to activa scooter No. PB—70E-7132 near Railway Light Point, Chandigarh on 02.08.2019. Activa riders namely Gautam, Ganesh and Mamta all got injured and admitted in GH-32, Chandigarh. Later Ganesh refer to PGI, Chandigarh. Driver of bus namely Nirmal Singh arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          A case FIR No. 213, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ashish R/o # 3, Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh against unknown driver of Bolero Pick-up No. PB-65T(2019)-3515 namely Priyawarat R/o VPO- Seenk, Distt.- Panipat, Haryana who hit to complainant (pedestrian) near Airport Light Point, Chandigarh on 01.08.2019. Complainant got injured and admitted in GH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A person resident of Sector- 41, Chandigarh reported that his daughter age about 10 years have been missing from his residence since 01.08.2019. A case FIR No. 256, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

A lady resident of Sector- 40/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01AB-6701 while parked near A-One Institute, Sector- 39, Chandigarh on 29.07.2019. A case FIR No. 258, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for Theft

A case FIR No. 257, U/S 382 added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Mansa Ram R/o # 2827, Sector- 56, Chandigarh who alleged that unknown person stolen away complainant’s mobile phone from near Dispensary, Sector- 56, Chandigarh on 02.08.2019. Later on Aman @ Sumit R/o # 1498, Sector- 25/D, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case.Investigation of the case is in progress.

Attempt to murder

A case FIR No. 211, U/S 307, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Jaswinder Singh R/o # 2502/1, Phase-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh who alleged that Parmod Kumar R/o # 2504/3, Phase-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh who threatened and pushed complainant from 1^st floor of his house on 01.08.2019. Complainant’s got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
