Three arrested for consuming liquor at public place
Three different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-03, PS-ITP & PS-49, Chandigarh against three persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 07.07.2019. Later all were released on bail.
One arrested under NDPS Act
Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Sandeep Kumar @ Sandi R/o # 630, Gali No. 8, Vikas Nagar, Naya Gaon, Distt. Mohali (PB) near under bridge, Sec-11/15, Dividing Road, Pole No. 228, Chandigarh and recovered 11 gm Heroin from his possession on 07.07.2019. A case FIR No. 131, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested for Theft
Sh. Ram Kumar, Secretary, Guru Ravidas Mandir, Sector-52, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away Holy Book (Guru Ravidas Dharam Granth) and 2 Mikes, Gas Connection Book from Mandir on 06-07-2019. A case FIR No. 149, U/S 295-A, 380 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Later one person namely Mohinder Jaguri Sharma R/o Village Jugas Malla, Distt. Uttrakashi, Uttrakhand, age 33 years has been arrested in this case and stolen property recovered from his possession. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Dowry
A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Zirakpur, Distt. Mohali (PB) harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 87, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
Quarrel/Assault
Sonu Yadav R/o # 384, Block No-E, Colony No-4, Chandigarh alleged that Ghutnu, Anand, Sandeep and one other person all resident of Colony No. 4, Chandigarh beaten & stabbed complainant and his friend Parvesh, Monu and Pardeep at Colony No. 4, Chandigarh on 07.07.2019. They got injuries and admitted to GMCH-32, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 166, U/S 324, 323, 341, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Hanuman Parshad R/o # 1030, Gas Colony, Daria, Chandigarh alleged that Balwant, Bhag Singh, Satish and brother-in-law of Balwant entered in Shop of Complainant i.e. # 527, Village Dariya, Chandigarh and beaten/threatened complainant and also scattered articles of his shop on 07.07.2019. A case FIR No. 167, U/S 323, 452, 511, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Later persons namely Suraj Rawat R/o # 976, Block-D, Dashmesh Nagar, Naya Gaon, Distt. Mohali (PB), Bhag Singh R/o # 527, Village Daria, Chandigarh, Satish R/o # 526, Daria, Chandigarh & Balwant R/o # 527, Daria, Chandigarh have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Missing/Abduction
A person resident of Hallo Majra, Chandigarh reported that her daughter age about 17 years has been missing from near her residence since 06.07.2019. A case FIR No. 193, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Later missing girl has been traced out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Eve-teasing
A girl alleged that unknown person eve-teased complainant and tried to outrage her modesty at 1st floor of SCO No. 94-95, Sector-34, Chandigarh on 07.07.2019. A case FIR No. 177, U/S 354, 354-A, 341, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 80, U/S 279 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sushila Devi R/o # 2570, Ph-11, Mohali (PB) who alleged that driver of Jeep No. DHC-5279 hit to complainant’s car No. CH-01BE-8808 at small chowk, Sector 48/49, Chandigarh on 04.07.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 150, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the statement of Sunder Lal R/o # 106, near Tiwana Hotel, Village Kajheri, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of Tata vehicle (Chota Hathi) No. CH-01TB-7762 namely Shishu Pal R/o # 820, Burail, Chandigarh hit to three children on a cycle near turn SDM Office, Sector 42, Chandigarh on 07.07.2019. ChildrenKuldeep (Age-11 Years), Rohit (Age-12 Years) and Aditya (Age-10 years) got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Later Kuldeep was referred to PGI, Chandigarh. Alleged person arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
MV Theft
Narinder Singh R/o # 535, Village Maloya, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH-01AH-2781 parked near his residence on 30-06-2019. A case FIR No. 91, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
