Purnoor, Chandigarh April 3, 2019
A team consisting of three students namely Udai Nanda ( 1st year) , Aryaman Thakur( 2nd year ) and Arpit Malhotra ( 3rd year ) represented the department at a National Level Mediation and Negotiation Competition held at University Institute of Laws, Punjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana, informed Prof. Rattan Singh, Director, University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Dr. Shruti Bedi, informed that the team went through three competitive rounds ( preliminary, semi-final and finals ) against various colleges from across the nation such as Christ University, Bangalore , UPES Dehradun and MNLU, Nagpur to name a few.
The team gave tough competition to all the competitors and bagged the prize of the overall second best team as per the prelims for which they received a sum of Rs. 1000, in the individual rounds Udai ( client ) and Arpit ( council ) were adjudged as the best negotiating team overall winning a prize money of Rs. 8000 and Aryaman won the prize for the second best mediator along with a cash prize of Rs. 2000.
