One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 31.03.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Sanjay Kumar R/o # 583, Phase-1, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh from near Bapu Dham Colony light point, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 06 bottles of country made liquor on 31.03.2019. A case FIR No. 73, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Bikl Bangia R/o SAS Nagar, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away stolen away complainant’s 04 suits from  Leisure Valley, Sector- 10, Chandigarh on night intervening dated 29/30.03.2019. A case FIR No. 104, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-3, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

Kuldeep Singh R/o Village- Chaumasi, PS- Ukhimath, Distt.- Rudra Prayag, Uttarakhand reported that he is working with FAB caf Food Pvt. Ltd. and staying in Hotel Dream Palace, Sector-45, Burail, Chandigarh for the last two weeks for official purpose with his senior and on 31.03.2019 when he was coming back to Hotel Dream Palace from Sector- 17, Chandigarh, he left the cab at Bus stop, Sector-45 backside of Smart School, Sector-45, Chandigarh 03 unknown persons came there and snatched away complainant’s purse containing cash approximately Rs. 20,000/-, company bills, Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Debit Card, Credit Card and other important documents. A case FIR No. 80, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault

A case FIR No. 47, U/S 324 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Raju R/o # 372, Kachi Colony, Village- Dhanas, Chandigarh who alleged that one person namely Deepak @ Totla ran away after stabbing complainant’s with knife near old PP-Dhanas, Chandigarh on 31.03.2019. Complainant’s got injured and taken to GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
