Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-11 & PS-39, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 10.03.2019. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Action against Gambling/Satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Jai Karan R/o # 190, New Indra Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh while he was playing satta near Govt. tubewell, ganda nala, Motor market, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 10.03.2019. Total cash Rs. 900/- was recovered from him. In this regard, a case FIR No. 33, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Later he released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Anhad Raj Singh R/o # 214, Sector-11, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away Samsung LCD and some documents from his house on 08.03.2019. A case FIR No. 42, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 32, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh on the statement of Pankaj Rana R/o # 2087, New Indira Colony, Mani Majra, Chandigarh against driver of Alto car No. HR-26-7980 who sped away after hitting to complainant’s Discover M/Cycle No CH-03Y-3427 near RC Motors, Motor Market, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 09.03.2019. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 81, U/S 279, 337, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the statement of Ramesh Kumar R/o # 647, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh against driver of unknown vehicle who sped away after hitting to  M/Cycle No. HR04C0319 near Gurudwara Light PointSec-47, Chandigarh on 10.03.2019. Motor-Cyclist namely Rohit Singh R/o # 285, ph-1, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh got injured and declared dead at GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Robbery & Arms Act

Naresh Kumar R/o # 3082/A, Sector-52, Chandigarh reported that 2 unknown persons on motor cycle fired upon complainant and robbed away a bag from complainant containing US dollar Malaysia ringant, Euro, Pound & Indian currency worth Rs. 5 lacs (Indian currency) near Kajheri Chowk, Chandigarh on 10.03.2019. Complainant got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh for treatment. A case FIR No. 54, U/S 341, 397, 307 IPC & 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
