Special Drive to check Tenants, Servants, PG :-

During this checking, tenant, servant & PG verification was done and violation of DM order u/s 144 CrPC have been found where Landlords have not given necessary information of their tenants, servant & PG to the local police. In this regard, Yesterday, Chandigarh police registered total 21 cases in different police stations against those who failed to inform local police regarding tenants/PGs residing in their premises in violation of instructions issued by the Deputy Commissioner of UT, Chandigarh. Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 09.01.2018. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Action against Gambling/Satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Devinder R/o # 254/2 Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh and Satrudhan R/o # 220, Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh while they were gambling near Toga Barrier, Chandigarh on 09.01.2019. Total cash Rs. 900/- was recovered from them. In this regard, a case FIR No. 04, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Aarish Syad R/o # 720/35, BDC, Sec-26, Chandigarh, Rohit Rohilla R/o # 705/11, BDC, Sec-26, Chandigarh and Abishek R/o # 722/5, BDC, Sec-26, Chandigarh while they were gambling near EWS flats, BDC, Sec-26, Chandigarh on 09.01.2019. Total cash Rs. 2240/- was recovered from them. In this regard, a case FIR No. 11, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Total cash Rs. 2805/- was recovered from them. In this regard, a case FIR No. 07, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 11, U/S 279, 337 IPC Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vibha R/o # 4468, Mouli Complex, Chandigarh  who alleged that driver of M/Cycle No PB-12V-6162 namely Ajay R/o # 72, New Indra Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh hit to complainant (pedestrian) near Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Mouli Jagran, Chandigarh on 08.01.2019. Alleged person arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Ravi Kapoor R/o # 39, Sector-15/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Swift car No CH-01AD-2165 from High Court parking, Sector-1, Chandigarh on 09.01.2019. A case FIR No. 10, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Sandeep Kumar R/o # 361, Khudda-Ali-Sher, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/cycle No CH-01AM-5066 parked near his house on night intervening 05/06.01.2019. A case FIR No. 07, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Tinku R/o # 2000, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH-01BQ-7511 parked near his house. A case FIR No. 09, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Santosh Kumar R/o # 541, Village-Burail, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Splendor M/Cycle No. CH-01AW-2307 while parked near Chowk Sector-21/22/34/35, Chandigarh on 07.01.2019. A case FIR No. 13, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Mandeep Singh R/o # 211, Village-Dadu Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No CH-01AD-8442 parked near his house on 08.01.2019. A case FIR No. 02, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
