The Milkha Junior Golf Championship” at Chandigarh Golf Club

127 junior golfers from all over the country teed off today at the second edition of “The Milkha Junior Golf Championship” at Chandigarh Golf Club.  This is the highest participitation for a junior tournament on a 18 golf course in the country , credit goes to the management of the Chandigarh golf club who have been promoting junior golf in a big way . 

The best score of the day  , 73 ( one over par) was bought in by three  players Heena Kang , Jujhar Singh and Manjot Singh , all three  from the Chandigarh Golf Club. Harjai Milkha Singh playing his first 18 hole tournament,  is the leader in his category with a score of 78. Mohul Dhingra had a rare hole in one on the par three 11th hole. A performance based cut was applied after the first round , the qualifying players will advance to the next two rounds.

Four Junior champions , two boys and two girls will earn a spot to compete in the Jakarta Junior world Golf Championship scheduled in Jakarta , Indonesia in May 2019. All four juniors will be supported by the Milkha charitable trust by way of sponsored air tickets to compete in the above tournament .
