Action against Gambling/Satta

Chandigarh Police arrested 1) Sharafat Ali R/o # 914, Mata Raj Kaur Gurudwara, Manimajra, Chandigarh, age- 30 yrs 2) Zulfikar R/o # 773/3, Jatta Wala Mohalla, Manimajra, Chandigarh, age-46 yrs 3) Rizwan R/o # 1138/2, Govindpura, Manimajra, Chandigarh, age-27 yrs 4) Intezar Ahmad @ Fatu R/o # 1066, Govindpura, Manimajra, Chandigarh, age-49 yrs while they were gambling near Sheetla Mata Mandir, Govindpura inside park, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 26.12.2018. Total cash Rs. 2,750/- and playing cards were recovered from them. In this regard, a case FIR No. 471, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sudhir Mishra R/o # 1592/C, EWS Colony, Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Motor Cycle No. CH-01AF-6703 while parked in front of his residence on night intervening 24/25.12.2018. A case FIR No. 309, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Rajbir Singh R/o # 2816/1, Sector-47/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Motor Cycle No. CH-01BF-9156 while parked in front of his residence on night intervening 10/11.12.2018. A case FIR No. 450, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 359, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the statement of Harpreet Singh R/o Village-Daddu Majra, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of Scorpio Car No. PB-22M-9000 namely Kulwinder Jit Singh R/o Jallalabad, Distt.-Fazilka, Punjab hit to complainant’s xcent car No. CH-02AA-3614 near light Point sector 24/25, Chandigarh on 25.12.2018. Two passengers got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Accused arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Rajinder Singh R/o # 3726, Sector-22/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s bag containing 01 mobile phone, cash Rs. 3,000/- and some documents from outside (verandah) of his residence on night intervening 24/25-12-2018. A case FIR No. 393, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Mukesh Kumar @ Sonu R/o # 3441, Sector-34/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away cash Rs. 2,000/- and some documents after breaking the lock of complainant’s Verka booth No. 23/6 in front of # 1550, Sector-23/B, Chandigarh on the night intervening 25/26-12-2018. A case FIR No. 394, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A person resident of Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that his daughter age about 17 years has been missing/abducted from near Bus stop, Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh since 26.12.2018. A case FIR No. 308, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh.       

Cheating

A girl resident of Distt.-Mohali, Punjab alleged that Sajan Sharma R/o # B-10/1347, Adarsh Nagar, Village-Nayagaon, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab contacted complainant through OLX for buying her mobile phone. He given a cheque of Rs. 10,000/- but the said cheque was returned unclear by the bank. When complainant contacted alleged person on his mobile number but it was found switched off. A case FIR No. 382, U/S 406, 420 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Alleged person has been arrested by Police Station-Sarangpur in another case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
