Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place in canter No. PB65T-2005 while parked near Post Office, inner market, Sector 8, Chandigarh on 24.12.2018. The vehicle in which they were consuming liquor has also been seized/impounded by police.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Cheating

Sh. Jagdish Chander (worker) C/o Manchanda Money Changer, Booth No. 340, Sector 32D, Chandigarh alleged that unknown person cheated away 10,000 Euro from complainant regarding exchanging with Rs. 8,10,000/- at cabin of SCO No. 156-157, 1^st floor, Sector 9, Chandigarh on 24.12.2018. A case FIR No. 252, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sh. Karambir Singh R/o # 246, Shanti Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No. PB30W0412 from Parking ISBT-43, Chandigarh on 19.12.2018. A case FIR No. 449, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

A lady resident of Sector-52, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away cash Rs. 12,000/- and gold ornaments from her house on 24-12.2018. A case FIR No. 450, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

A case FIR No. 482, U/S 323, 325, 341, 427, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Deepak R/o # 6732/A, Sector-56, Chandigarh who alleged that a person namely Shine with two others beaten & threatened complainant near Jamun Chowk, Sector 56, Chandigarh and also broken the window pane of complainant’s Swift Dzire car No. HR-45C-5233 on 22.12.2018. Investigation of the case is in progress.
