Three arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-03 & PS-17, Chandigarh against three persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Later they bailed out.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Cheating

        A case FIR No. 242 U/s 419 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint Sh. Sonal Gulati, Dy. Director Admin, Regional Office Employees, State Insurance Corporation, Madhya Marg, Sector-19/A, Chandigarh against Santosh Kumar R/o UDC, Sub Regional Office, ESI, CO Ludhiana, Punjab who impersonated some other in examination for the post of LDC in ESI Corporation held on 08.11.2009. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          A girl resident of Village-Saketri, Distt.-Panchkula, Haryana reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. PB-65L-0593 while parked near Dainik Bhaskar Office, Sector-25, Chandigarh on 20.11.2018. A case FIR No. 352, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

        Sh. Arjun Singh R/o # 805, Dashmesh Nagar, Naya Gaon, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Motor cycle No. PB-65V-0710 while parked near SCO No.1030, Sector-22/B, Chandigarh on 13.12.2018. A case FIR No. 379, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 431, U/S 279, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the statement of a lady R/o # 2383/A, SCL Society, Sector-70, Mohali, Punjab who alleged that driver of car No. — hit to complainant’s husband Activa Scooter No. – at Sector-41/42, Dividing road, near Chakki Wala Chowk, Chandigarh on 08.01.2018. Driver of active scooter namely Rohit Phutela R/o # 2383/A, SCL Society, Sector-70, Mohali, Punjab got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh, where doctor declared him brought dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 374, U/S 279, 427 IPC & 185 MV Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh.Mukul Saharan R/o Village-Lakhe Wali Thab, Distt.-Fazilka, Punjab who alleged that driver of Honda City car No. PB-53A-7478 namely Abhijit Singh R/o # 2152/E, Sector-63, Chandigarh struck in to Heera Singh Chowk on 12.12.2018. Accused arrested and later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A lady resident of Ward No.19, Sharma Estate, Lohgarh Road, Zirakpur, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s bag containing cash Rs.60,000/-, 3 gold sets & other gold items, Mobile Phone, credit and debit card, some documents and also stolen a bag of complainant’s sister  R/o Montred (Canada) containing jewellery 6 bags of gold, NOS Diamond sets, 04 gold sets, Gold Mangal Sutra, Gold rings, around 1000 Canadian dollars, I-Phone 6 plus & all Canadian documents from Hotel Pearl, Phase-2, Industrial Area, Chandigarh on 13-12-2018. A case FIR No. 439, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Manpreet Singh R/o # 114, Sector-30/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away batteries from Eleven cars parked at footpath parking in front of his house on night intervening 12/13-12-2018. A case FIR No. 351, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault

A case FIR No. 237, U/S 147, 148, 149, 307, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vishal R/o # 1189, Sector-25, Chandigarh who alleged that Babrik, Sachin, Kannu and others attacked on complainant with knife near # 4961, Sector-38 West, Chandigarh on 12.12.2018. He got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Later on two accused namely Sachin R/o # 1208, DMC, Chandigarh and Karan @ Kannu R/o # 1148, DMC, Chandigarh were arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
