One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Later he bailed out.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Sarwan Kumar R/o Manav Colony, Village-Saketri, Distt.-Panchkula, Haryana between Hallo Majra Light Point to Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh near electricity pole No.49-50/HM and recovered 50 gram Heroin from his possession on 06-12-2018. A case FIR No. 344, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Taranjit Singh R/o Prof. Colony, Street No.3, Sirhind Mandi, Distt.-Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab at Sector-41/42 dividing road, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 08 boxes of country made liquor loaded in Verna Car on 06.12.2018. A case FIR No. 426, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-36 Chandigarh. Later he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 371, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against Suresh Kumar R/o # 45, Sector-16/A, Chandigarh who did not give information of tenant and violated the orders U/S 144 Cr.P.C of DM, UT, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 371, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh against a lady resident of Sector-27, Chandigarh who did not give information of tenant and violated the orders U/S 144 Cr.P.C of DM, UT, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 237, U/S 279, 337 has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Gurwinder Singh R/o # 123, DMC, Sector-04, Bhainsa Tibba, District-Panchkula, Haryana against driver of Swaraj Tractor No. PB-12Q-9937 who hit to complainant’s Motor Cycle No.HR-99TVX-3139 near Sampark Centre, Village-Kaimbwala, Chandigarh on 06.12.2018. Complainant got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Daljit Sharma R/o # 306/1, Sector-45/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away some gold and diamond ornaments from his residence on 30.11.2018. A case FIR No. 425, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Ramphal R/o # 1578, Sector-20/B, Chandigarh alleged that unknown person stolen away Rs. 20,000/- from complainant’s bag at State Bank of India, Sector-30, Chandigarh on 01-12-2018. A case FIR No. 344, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Harjinder Kumar R/o # 697, Phase-I, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s splendor motor Cycle No. CH-01AT-4830 from parking near SCO No.183-187, Sector-9/C, Chandigarh on 03-12-2018.
