Three arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Three different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-11, PS-17 & 34, Chandigarh against three persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Later they bailed out.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Manpreet Singh R/o Malwa Colony, Bhudsoan Road, Distt.-Patiala, Punjab near Govt. High School, Village-Sarangpur, Chandigarh and recovered 400 gram Opium from his possession. A case FIR No. 291, U/S 18 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

A lady resident of Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa No. HR-01AH-9880 while parked near Khalsa Dry Fruit Shop No.22, Sector-22/D, Chandigarh on 25-11-2018. A case FIR No. 362, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Pankaj R/o # 2245/1, Sector-45/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Swift Car No. HR-43B-6468 while parked at Mela Ground, Sector-34, Chandigarh on 14-11-2018. A case FIR No. 415, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Himanshu Pal Singh R/o # B-2061/D, Block No.26, Sector-63, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Bullet Motor Cycle No. RJ-13BS-7002 while parked in the parking of Block No.26, Sector-63, Chandigarh and another bullet Motor Cycle No. CH-46(T)-1066 owned by Vansh Narula R/o # B-2028/D, Block No.22, Sector-63, Chandigarh while parked in the parking of Block No.22, Sector-63, Chandigarh  on 23.11.2018. A case FIR No. 212, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/abducted

A case FIR No. 337, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of a person resident of Village-Daria, Chandigarh who reported that his daughter age about 14 years and one another girl (neighbor) age about 13 years have been missing from their house, Village-Daria, Chandigarh on dated 26.11.2018. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Sh. Viney Kumar Garg R/o # 1144, Sector-41/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s purse containing cash Rs. 8,000/- and some documents by pick pocketing at Chhabra Bartan House, Village-Badheri, Sector-41, Chandigarh on 05.11.2018. A case FIR No. 450, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
