President of India Inaugurates 13th Edition of CII Agro Tech India – 2018

Chandigarh, December 1, 2018: 

Hon’ble President of India, Sh. Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the 13th CII Agro Tech India 2018, a premier Agri and Food Technology Fair, at the Parade Ground in Chandigarh today.

Speaking on the occasion, the President said that Indian agriculture needs a renewal of its marriage with contemporary technology; protection against climate change, price fluctuations and demand shocks; and sustained investment by and partnership with business. Together these will enhance agricultural value and competitiveness – as well as lead to better incomes.

The President said that through human history, agriculture has moved ahead with cross-fertilization. It is the ideal stage for partnerships, for symbiosis and for mutual learning and sharing. Partnerships can be formed across sectors and across geographies. In previous decades, manufacturing and mechanisation have been of appreciable utility to agriculture. Today a strong relationship is emerging between agriculture and the services sector. Biotechnology, nanotechnology, data science, remote-sensing imaging, autonomous aerial and ground vehicles, and artificial intelligence hold the key to generating more value for agriculture. He expressed confidence that Agro Tech India-2018 will promote specific partnerships that will benefit India’s farmers.

Pointing to the issue of pollution due to stubble burning, the President said that the farmers of Punjab and Haryana are a matter of pride for our country. They have never shied away from a challenge and a responsibility to larger society. Today we are facing a problem related to disposal of crop residue and of safe and clean removal of husk or stubble. In an extreme form, the burning of such items is leading to pollution that affects even little children. It is for all of us, including the state governments, the skilled and large-hearted farmers, and other stakeholders, to come up with a solution. And no doubt technology will help us find a solution.

In his address, Mr Rakesh Bharti Mittal, President, CII said, “As our farmers have met the goal of food security, farming should now be seen as a wealth creation tool. Today’s new age farmer is an entrepreneur and CII is doing a lot to contribute to the cause of doubling the farmers’ income.  We have recommended to the government that states be ranked on an index called ‘Ease of Doing Agriculture’ on the lines of the Ease of Doing Business.”

Mr Mittal also called for reforms in long-term leasing of land, incentivizing farmers who adopt technology and how to synergise farmers and government’s efforts to ultimately benefiting the consumer at the other end.

Union Minister for Food Processing Industries, Smt Harsimrat Kaur Badal said, “The time is now ripe for food processing to ensure food for more people in the world and in our country. According to my own Ministry’s study, around Rs1 lakh crore worth of agri-produce is wasted for lack of processing. My Ministry had launched KISAN SAMPADA YOJANA as the prime seven umbrella scheme.”

She informed the gathering of a new scheme that the ministry is partnering with the World Bank to create a food processing revolution. “Rs 3,000 crore will be used to fund farmers for projects up to Rs 10 lakh each,” she added.

The ministry, she added, was also creating a new funding mechanism to finance food processing projects.

Recounting the achievements of the government, Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shri Radha Mohan Singh said, “We have doubled the investment in the sector to around Rs 450 crore per year from Rs 200 crore previously. We have also created corpus funds.”

Welcoming the dignitaries, Mr Ajay S Shriram, chairman and senior managing director, DCM Shriram Ltd, and chairman, CII Agro Tech India, 2018, said, “Since its inception in 1994, CII Agro Tech has brought together agribusiness communities from all around the world. The CII Agro Tech India 2018 focuses on leveraging innovation and technology for sustainable development of agriculture and doubling farmers’ income. Spread over 16,000 sq m of space, 14 states and eight countries are participating in the agri technology fair.”

 “The idea is to understand what is required from farmers to double their income in the medium term. Over 50,000 farmers are expected to visit us during the event,” he added.

Thanking all the dignitaries present, Mr SACHIT JAIN, Chairman, CII, Northern Region said, “Application of technology with linkages to market is the key to sustainable agriculture. CII is working on a pilot project to tackle stubble burning in Punjab. We will take it forward in the times to come and fulfill the dreams of Hon’ble President.”

The 13th CII Agro Tech India event witnessed 158 domestic exhibitors and 37 international exhibitors. The exhibition that has been set up in the 16,000 square m area and has the participation of 14 states and 8 countries.

पाक प्रेम या मानसिक विक्षिप्तता???

मणि शंकर अय्यर , दिग्विजय सिंह और राहुल ही काफी  नहीं थे कि नवजोत सिंह सिद्धु भी पाक प्रेमियों की सूची में शामिल हो गए । कल तक सिद्धू की मुखालफत करने वाले पार्टी के सरमाये दार सिद्धू के ब्यान के बाद सन्नाटे में हैं। सोच रहे हैं अब क्या कहें क्या न कहें। सिद्धू के खिलाफ बोलते हैं तो राहुल और कुछ गिने चुने कट्टरपंथी गुस्सा  सिद्धू के हक़ में बोलने से कैप्टन की नज़र में खटक सकते हैं। लेकिन हैरत की बात है कि राहुल ने किस आधार पर सिद्धू को पाकिस्तान जाने के लिए कहा होगा। कैप्टन कि अनदेखी और अनसुनी करने का अर्थ ये तो नहीं राहुल सिद्धू को पंजाब का सिंहासन सोंपने का वादा कर बैठे हैं और  2019 में प्रधान मंत्री बनवाने के लिए से सिफ़ारिश करने भेजा । आपको बता दें कि कुछ महीने पहले पाकिस्तान में अपने मणि शंकर अय्यर ने कहा था कि आप अगर राहुल गांधी को प्रधान मंत्री बनवा दें तो भारत पाक समस्या खत्म करने मे मदद होगी। मणि शंकर अय्यर कांग्रेस्स सरकार के समय विदेशी मामलों के मंत्री थे उससे पहले भारतीय विदेशी सेवा अधिकारी रहे हैं।

या तो ये राजनेता खुले तोर पर देश के हितों कि अनदेखी करते हैं या फिर विक्षिप्त मानसिकता के स्वामी हैं।

अब बात करते हैं नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू आपसे: 

आपका और विवादों का चोली दामन का साथ है, जबकि सार्वजनिक जीवन जीने वालों को जिन बातों से गुरेज करना चाहिए आप उन्ही बातों को नगाड़े की चोट पर कहते हैं, चाहे भाजपा नेत्री को ठोकने की बात हो या प्रधान मंत्री को चोर कहने की। अब दूसरी बार करतारपुर कॉरीडोर का नियोता मिला, भारत से कोई भी जाने के लिए तैयार नहीं था, भारत सरकार और आपकी पंजाब की प्रदेश सरकार ने भी इंकार किया और कैप्टन अमरेन्द्र सिंह ने आपको पुन: चेताया परंतु आप की आँखों पर न जाने कौन सी पट्टी चढ़ी थी की देखना सुनना तो दूर आपने तो सोचना भी बंद कर दिया।

भारत भूमि पर लगातार छद्म युद्ध थोप रहे पाकिस्तान के नव निर्वाचित प्रधान मंत्री इमरान खान ने भारत के कई नेताओं ओर क्रिकेट जगत के पुरोधाओं को न्योता भेजा था, सभी ने घाटी में फैले पाकिस्तान प्रायोजित आतंकवाद को ध्यान में रखते हुए समारोह में जाने से मना किया, पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री कैप्टन अमरेन्द्र सिंह ने भी पाकिस्तान के दोगले रवैये को देखते हुए जाने से इंकार किया और सिद्धु को भी नसीहत दी परंतु सिद्धु को इतना प्यार उमड़ा की वह पैदल ही समारोह में शिरकत करने चले गए। वहाँ शिरकत करना ही किसी को नहीं सुहाया ऊपर से इनहोने जन बाजवा को गलबाहियाँ दी।

मामला क्या है ? आप शक के दायरे में हैं।

गुरु कहीं सिखों को भारत से अलग करने कि पाक कि  नीति में मोहरा तो नहीं बन रहे। क्योंकि चाहे खालिस्तान समर्थक हों या काश्मीरी अलगाववादी या अब रेफेरेंड्म 20 के समर्थक सबके रोटी कपड़ा मकान का इंतजाम पाकिस्तान में ही है।

सनद रहे उनके सेनाध्यक्ष बाजवा वही  है जिस के इशारे पर पाकिस्तान भारत पर जगह जगह आतंकी वारदातों को अंजाम देता है और हमारी युवा शक्ति को लील जाता है। उस बाजवा को गलबहियाँ डालना और फिर वापिस आ कर आप बेशर्मी के साथ भारत के प्रधान मंत्री पर तंज़ कसते हैं कि आप शपथ ग्रहण समारोह में गए थे न की ‘राफेल डील‘ करने। आपको कई बार चेताया जा चुका है की आप जन भावनाओं को ‘कामेडी शो’ की तालियाँ न समझें।

चीन ने पीओके को भारत का हिस्सा दर्शाया पाक नाराज़।

आधिकारिक तौर पर जारी किए गए मैप में चीन ने इसके पहले कभी भी PoK को भारत का हिस्सा नहीं दिखाया. सूत्रों का कहना है कि कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी में ऊपर से मिले सिग्नल के बगैर सरकारी मीडिया अलग मैप का इस्तेमाल भी नहीं करता है

सरकार द्वारा संचालित सीजीटीएन टेलीविजन ने पहली बार पाकिस्तानी कब्जे वाले कश्मीर (पीओके) को पाकिस्तान के मानचित्र से बाहर कर दिया है. पिछले हफ्ते पाकिस्तान में चीन के दूतावास पर हुए हमले की खबर दिखाते हुए चीन ने यह तस्वीर जारी की है.

अब क्योंकि यह असंभव है कि सरकार द्वारा संचालित टेलीविजन कभी भी बीजिंग के विरुद्ध जाएगा, इसलिए यह माना जा रहा है कि यह कदम जानबूझकर उठाया गया है.

चीन के सरकारी चैनल द्वारा भारत की कुछ ऐसी तस्वीरें दिखाने से पाकिस्तान को झटका लग सकता है. सरकारी चैनल CGTN ने पहली बार अपने कार्यक्रम के दौरान दिखाई एक तस्वीर में पाकिस्तान के कब्जे वाले कश्मीर (PoK) को पाकिस्तान के बदले भारत के नक्शे में दिखाया है.

हालांकि, अभी तक यह साफ नहीं हुआ है कि चीन के सरकारी चैनल CGTN ने वो तस्वीरें जानबूझ कर पाकिस्तान को कोई संदेश देने के लिए छापी गई हैं या फिर गलती से दिखाई हैं. हाल के दिनों में चीन और भारत की सरकारों के बीच बातचीत बढ़ी है. इसलिए ये भी हो सकता है कि भारत की तरफ चीन के झुकाव को दर्शाने के लिए भी यह कदम उठाया गया हो.

चीन-पाकिस्तान इकोनॉमिक कॉरिडोर से जोड़कर भी देखा जा रहा है:

PoK को भारत के नक्शे में दिखाने को चीन-पाकिस्तान इकोनॉमिक कॉरिडोर से जोड़कर भी देखा जा रहा है. इस योजना को लेकर भारत ने चीन के सामने कड़ी आपत्ति जताई थी. चीन ने यह रुख ऐसे समय में दिखाया है जब 10 दिसंबर को भारत और चीन के बीच सैन्य अभ्यास होना है. वहीं, करतारपुर मसले पर बहस भी हो रही है. ‘दोस्त’ चीन के इस रवैये पर पाकिस्तान ने नाराज़गी जाहिर की है.

दरअसल, आधिकारिक तौर पर जारी किए गए मैप में चीन ने इसके पहले कभी भी PoK को भारत का हिस्सा नहीं दिखाया. सूत्रों का कहना है कि कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी में ऊपर से मिले सिग्नल के बगैर सरकारी मीडिया अलग मैप का इस्तेमाल भी नहीं करता है.

जम्मू-कश्मीर भारत का अभिन्न हिस्सा है, तो पाक अधिकृत कश्मीर और गिलगित बाल्टिस्तान पर पाकिस्तान का अवैध कब्जा है. वहीं अक्साई चिन पर चीनी कब्जा है. PoK का कुल क्षेत्रफल करीब 13 हजार वर्ग किलोमीटर है, जहां करीब 30 लाख लोग रहते हैं. पाकिस्तान के कब्जे वाले कश्मीर में अक्साई चिन शामिल नहीं है. यह इलाका महाराजा हरिसिंह के समय में कश्मीर का हिस्सा था. 1962 में भारत और चीन के बीच युद्ध के बाद कश्मीर के उत्तर-पूर्व में चीन से सटे इलाके अक्साई चिन पर चीन का कब्जा है.

भारतीय संसद में है पीओके की 7 रिजर्व सीटें:

आजादी के बाद भारत-पाक युद्ध में कश्मीर 2 हिस्सों में बंट गया था. कश्मीर का जो हिस्सा भारत से लगा हुआ था, वह जम्मू-कश्मीर नाम से भारत का एक सूबा हो गया, वहीं कश्मीर का जो हिस्सा पाकिस्तान और अफगानिस्तान से सटा हुआ था, वह पाकिस्तान अधिकृत कश्मीर कहलाया.

भारत सरकार ने पाक अधिकृत कश्मीर का नाम बदलकर पाक अधिकृत जम्मू और कश्मीर कर दिया है. भारत ने जम्मू-कश्मीर राज्य विधानसभा में पीओके के लिए 25 सीटें और संसद में 7 सीटें रिजर्व रखी हैं.

Political analysts think Congress hasn’t succeeded in building a narrative against Chouhan 

“The pro-poor schemes of Shivraj Singh government will help the BJP to get support from the poor and economically-weaker sections of the society, especially the urban poor,” former Hindustan Times resident editor NK Singh said.

As the curtain comes down on the high-voltage electoral campaigning by the ruling BJP and the Opposition Congress in Madhya Pradesh for the votes to be cast on 28 November, both parties are keeping their fingers crossed. Who will win Madhya Pradesh? The betting market is swinging on both sides: sometimes in favour of Congress and sometimes for the BJP. Uncertainty looms on whether the BJP under Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will return to power for a fourth consecutive term or if fortune will smile on the Congress after its long electoral drought.

Political analysts think Congress hasn’t succeeded in building a narrative against Chouhan. People do not complain against Chouhan, but against the lower bureaucracy and uncaring BJP MLAs, some of whom are also corrupt, they add. In fact, Chouhan has, over the years, emerged as a brand not only of the party, but also the state. “Congress couldn’t build a strong issue-based narrative against Shivraj Singh government, except announcing debt waiver for farmers and tackling unemployment. It’s not necessary that those who’re unhappy (and not angry) with the BJP government will vote for the Congress,” Bhopal-based political commentator Girija Shankar said.

The high-decibel campaigning in Madhya Pradesh witnessed 10 rallies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 27 of BJP president Amit Shah, 178 of Chouhan along with his Jan Aashirwad Yatra criss-crossing the state. Unlike the BJP, Congress didn’t have many star campaigners. While Congress president Rahul Gandhi addressed 15 rallies, Jyotiraditya Scindia held the highest rallies for the party (103). MPCC president Kamal Nath addressed a few rallies, with a focus on organisational support, while courting a controversy on a video allegedly slamming the RSS over minority issue.

The issues raised by the BJP and the Congress leaders were more national than state-level: Ram Mandir, Rafale deal. The Opposition Congress couldn’t make ‘Vyapam scam’ a big issue. One may recall, five years ago the ‘Vyapam scam’—the biggest one till date in Madhya Pradesh—relating to irregularities in medical admissions and other recruitment examinations conducted by the state government was unearthed. It had almost dislodged Chouhan, but the BJP salvaged the crisis by handing the case to the CBI.

The state population is nearly 90 percent Hindu, which prompted Congress to toe a soft-Hindutva line. It is in the battlefield of Madhya Pradesh where Congress president Rahul Gandhi visited Jyotirlinga shrines Omkareshwar and Mahakaleshwar, and was projected as a ‘Shiv-bhakt’, and ‘pandit Rahul Gandhi’. But Rahul’s new avatar has drawn criticism.

Congress has successfully raked up the farmer distress that erupted in Mandsaur in 2017. Despite the state government’s quick measures to quell farmers’ anger, election results will show if the Congress succeeded in swinging the issue in its favour. “The pro-poor schemes of Shivraj Singh government will help the BJP to get support from the poor and economically-weaker sections of the society, especially the urban poor,” former Hindustan Times resident editor NK Singh said.

Factors in favour of Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the BJP

· Unlike in the case of the former chief minister Digvijay Singh, there’s no anger directly against Chouhan.

· No large-scale complaint against Chouhan on basic amenities like electricity, road and water, as against the Congress between 2000 and 2003.

· Strong organisational base.

· Active role of frontal organisations of RSS-BJP and their grassroots reach.

· Chouhan’s image as a son of the soil. He brought in the ‘insider-outsider’ narrative into play during the last 15 years.

· Strong support from those living in slums and economically-weaker sections (EWS) due to state government schemes, especially housing scheme (Awas Yojna).

Against the BJP

· Large-scale rebellion in the form of Independent candidates, who failed to get either a BJP ticket, a post or favour from the party.

· Upper castes and a section of middle-class voters are disturbed over SC/ST Atrocities Act, high fuel prices.

· Mid-level businessmen, small and medium level farmers who are politically influential are vocal against the BJP.

· High-voltage campaigning in the form of rallies and roadshows with star campaigners like Modi, Shah and Chouhan.

Factors in favour of Congress

· Anti-incumbency factor against the BJP.

· A section of voters wants a change in government.

· Farmer distress that erupted in Mandsaur district and the anger among small and marginal farmers may help Congress, especially due to ‘Bhaavantar Yojna’.

· People’s anger against bureaucracy and BJP MLAs

Against the Congress

· Long absence of senior leaders of Congress in the state. They are being considered more as ‘outsiders’, who have spent less time in state politics.

· Weak frontal organisations of Congress that lack grassroots connectivity.

· A large section of voters still unable to forget Digvijay Singh’s disastrous second term (1998 to 2003) and poor infrastructure that earned the state the infamous ‘Bimaru’ tag.

· Lack of cohesive leadership in the state over the last 15 years, which has weakened the party at organisational level.

· Soft-Hindutva line adopted by the Congress won’t make much dent in BJP, rather it has attracted more criticism.

हरियाणा पुलिस अपराध शाखा की एंटी ह्यूमन ट्रैफिकिंग यूनिट (एएचटीयू) की टीम ने लगभग 2 महीने से उतरप्रदेष के फर्रुखाबाद से लापता 11 वर्षीय बच्चे का पूरा पता निकलवाकर लाडवा, कुरुक्षेत्र में उसके परिजनों से मिलवाया।

पुलिस विभाग के प्रवक्ता ने आज यहां यह जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि एएचटीयू की टीम द्वारा आवश्यक औपचारिकताओं को पूरा करने के बाद बाल कल्याण समिति कुरुक्षेत्र द्वारा बच्चे को उसके पिता को सौंप दिया गया। यह बच्चा लगभग डेढ महीने से बाल आश्रम, लाडवा में रह रहा था।

उप-निरीक्षक मुकेश रानी, हेड कांस्टेबल करमचंद और महिला कॉन्स्टेबल कविता सहित एएचटीयू की टीम को जानकारी मिली थी कि लाडवा के बाल आश्रम में एक 11 वर्षीय लडका पिछले डेढ माह से रह रहा है। टीम के सदस्यों ने जब बच्चे से सम्पर्क किया तो बच्चे ने पहले तो कोई सहयोग नही किया, परन्तु जब बार-बार बातचीत की गई तो उसने अपना पता गांव भरेयपुर जिला फर्रुखाबाद, उत्तरप्रदेष बताया। जिस पर विस्तृत छानबीन कर फर्रुखाबाद पुलिस से बातचीत कर बच्चे के परिजनों से सम्पर्क किया गया।

इस प्रकार, एएचटीयू की टीम ने जिला फर्रुखाबाद, उत्तरप्रदेष के रहने वाले 11 वर्षीय बच्चे को लाडवा में उसके पिता परिजनों से मिलवाया।

Extorter arrested country made pistol and 7 live cartridges recovered, granted police remand for 4 days

 A Case FIR no. 413 Dt.24.11.18  u/s.452, 382, 506, 34 IPC and 25-54-59 arms act of PS. 34 Chd was registered on the complaint of  Sudhir S/o Triveni paswan R/o near Gurudawara Palsora, Chd. In his complaint he reported that he is the owner of Hotel Rock star situated in Vill.Burail Chandigarh. On dt.23.11.18 at about 11.00-11.30 pm three person came in his Hotel, and demanded extortion money. He identified them as Monty Shah, Deepu and Rahul @ Chikna who came in his Hotel and Monty Shah pointed one pistol on his head and demanded money. Suddenly Deepu attacked on his face and and third person Rahul opened his drawer and took Rs 10000/- and after that all three persons gave threatening to him for not delaying in paying money to them.
Accordingly, after verified the facts the above said case was registered and investigation set to motion. During investigation on dt.24.11.18 accused namely Monty shah  has been arrested on the identification of complainant.
On dt.25.11.18  accused Monty Shah produced before the court and obtained 4 days police remand. During investigation a country made pistol  with 7 live cartridges which was used in crime has been recovered.

सिद्धू का ‘बाजवा प्रेम’ ओर ‘इमरान स्तुति’ जग जाहिर है, पाकिस्तान जाने के लिए वह इतने उतावले रहते हैं की वह दूसरी बार ‘इमरान श्लाघा’ करते हुए फिर से देश के माहौल भावनाओं को समझने में नाकामयाब रहे। इसमें उनकी गलती नहीं है, कपिल शर्मा ने उन्हे जिस कुर्सी पर बैठा दिया था उस पर से उतारे जाने की बाद भी सिद्धू उस मोड से बाहर नहीं आ पा रहे हैं। कभी महिलाओं के लिए उन्हे ठोकने की बात करते हैं और अब जब समूचा राष्ट्र 26/11 के पाक प्रायोजित हमले की 10वीं बरसी का शोक माना रहा है वहीं सिद्धू को पाकिस्तान प्रधानमंत्री में एक भावुक बेचारा व्यक्ति दिखाई देता है।

वह करतारपुर कॉरीडोर से स्वयं को सिख धर्म के एक जाँबाज तारनहार की तरह दिखाना चाहते हैं की जो काम दशकों से टकसाली नेता एसजीपीसी के नेता सिख धरम के पुरोधा नहीं कर पाये वह सिद्धू ने कर दिखाया। ऐसा कर वह बादल परिवार को सिख राजनीति से दूर धकेलने में अपनी कामयाबी ढूंढ रहे हैं। परंतु वह भूल जाते हैं की इन्ही सिख बहादुरों की लाशों को पुंजाब में बिछा कर पाकिस्तान इतराता फिरता है, यही खेल वह अब काश्मीर में खेल रहा है।  कसाब को फांसी हो चुकी है पर आज तक पाकिस्तान कसाब से अपने नकारता ही रहा है ओर तो और 26/11 के मुख्यारोपी वहाँ अपनी राजनैतिक ज़मीन मजबूत कर रहे हैं 

 

‘करतारपुर कॉरिडोर का असली श्रेय पाकिस्तानी प्रधानमंत्री इमरान खान को जाता है.’ ऐसा कहना है पंजाब के स्थानीय निकाय मंत्री नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू का. सिद्धू ने पत्रकारों से बात करते हुए कहा, करतारपुर कॉरिडोर का असली श्रेय इमरान खान को जाता है. जिन्होंने इसके निर्माण के लिए कई सालों तक प्रार्थनाएं की. इस शख्स ने पाकिस्तान के प्रधान मंत्री की कुर्सी के लिए 24 साल का संघर्ष किया है.’

सिद्धू ने कॉरिडोर को लेकर चल रही राजनीति से दूर रहने की सलाह देते हुए कहा कि पूरी दुनिया खुश है. धर्म को हमेशा राजनीति से दूर रखना चाहिए. नुसरत फतेह अली खान और गुलाम अली जैसे लोगों को इन दोनों देशों की दूरियां कम करने का मौका दीजिए.

सिद्धू का यह बयान ऐसे दिन आया है जब पूरा देश 26/11 मुंबई आतंकी हमले की 10वीं बरसी में शोक में डूबा है. इस हमले में 10 पाकिस्तानी आतंकवादियों ने 166 लोगों की हत्या कर दी थी. एक दिन पूर्व ही पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री अमरिंदर सिंह ने आतंकवादी हमलों का हवाला देते हुए कॉरिडोर के शिलान्यास समारोह में शामिल होने वाले पाकिस्तान के निमंत्रण को अस्वीकार कर दिया था.

वहीं सिद्धू ने रविवार को ही इस समारोह में शामिल होने का निमंत्रण स्वीकार कर लिया था. पाकिस्तानी विदेश मंत्री शाह महमूद कुरैशी के निमंत्रण के स्वीकार करते हुए सिद्धू ने कहा, ‘यह मेरे लिए बहुत सम्मान और खुशी कि बात है कि मैं 28 नवंबर को होने जा रहे करतरपुर साहिब के शिलान्यास कार्यक्रम में शामिल होऊंगा.मैं इस ऐतिहासिक अवसर पर आपसे मिलने के लिए तत्पर(उतावला) हूं.’

क्या है करतारपुर साहिब और क्या है इसकी अहमियत

करतारपुर साहिब वो जगह है, जहां 1539 ईं. में सिख धर्म के पहले गुरु नानक देव के निधन के बाद पवित्र गुरुद्वारे का निर्माण करवाया गया था. इस जगह की अहमियत इसलिए है क्योंकि यहां गुरु नानक देव ने अपने जीवन के अंतिम 18 साल बिताए थे.

पाकिस्तान ने गुरु नानक की 549वीं जयंती के अवसर पर नवंबर में 3800 सिख श्रद्धालुओं को वीजा जारी किया था. करतारपुर कॉरिडोर बन जाने से लाखों सिख श्रद्धालु पाकिस्तान में रावी नदी के तट पर स्थित गुरुद्वारा दरबार साहिब करतारपुर में मत्था टेक सकेंगे.

निरंकारी डेरे पर धमाका करने के पीछे सिर्फ पाकिस्तान में बैठा हैप्पी पी एच डी अकेला ही मास्टरमाइंड नहीं था। इटली में रह रहे आतंकी परमजीत सिंह बाबा तथा पाकिस्तान में बैठे जावेद ने आतंकी अवतार तथा सरबजीत को डेरे में हमला करने संबंधी निर्देश दिए थे। चंडीगढ़ में आतंकी अवतार सिंह की गिरफ़्तारी की पुष्टि करते हुए  डी जी पी सुरेश अरोड़ा ने बताया कि अवतार सिंह को गिरफ़्तार कर उसके कब्ज़े से। 32 बोर की पिस्तौल तथा 25 ज़िंदा गोलियां (कारतूस ) भी बरामद किये हैं। यह वही रिवाल्वर है जिससे सरबजीत ने डेरे के मुख्य द्वार पर गेटकर्मी के समक्ष ताना था।

Kirron Kher Inaugurates Chandigarh Carnival 2018

The most awaited annual event of the City Beautiful, the Chandigarh Carnival 2018 was today inaugurated by Smt. Kirron Kher, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, at leisure Valley Chandigarh in the presence of Sh. Jitender Yadav, IAS, Director Tourism and other officers from Chandigarh Administration and Municipal Corporation.

The Member of Parliament flagged off the Carnival Parade showcasing the  beautiful and creative floats designed by the students of Arts College, CITCO and Chandigarh Tourism (depicting the major tourist spots in Chandigarh), Education Department, Home Science College.

The floats designed on the Gandhi theme had different components depicting the lifestyle of the iconic leader. The colorful rally went around the City and attracted the denizens to the much loved Chandigarh Carnival. For car lovers, a Vintage car display has been set up at the Government Museum & Art Gallery, Sector 10, Chandigarh.

As a special gesture to commemorate the150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Smt. Kirron Kher released the huge bunch of white balloons to spread the message of peace and harmony.

The Chandigarh Carnival 2018 consist of stalls exhibited by various academies, NGO’s & Govt. Departments who have displayed various art & crafts. The day long Cultural Programmes by various artists/performers, Amusement Park, Joy rides  with various fun & frolic activities & Cartoon characters attracted the people.

To satiate the appetite of food lovers, food Stalls have been installed by CIHM, AIHM, CITCO and much more. The 1st day of the Grand Carnival 2018 witnessed a Bollywood Musical Nite LIVE by “SHAAN” which unfolded at 7:00 p.m. . Shaan performed on his famous melodies which enthralled the audience.

The Grand Carnival aims at providing a common platform to the residents, wherein they can come and share their talent with the masses. All the three days of the Carnival are well planned and packed with numerous activities. Competitions and events for every generation and taste of people are framed, so that everybody gets a chance to showcase their talent.

Tomorrow, there will be a thunderous performance by Punjabi singer Harbhajan Mann.
